Hello. Currently my days are occupied with attending school at Mount Holyoke College, where I have met the most amazing people I have come across thus far in my life. My two loves, and hence two majors, are art history and Italian. I especially enjoy Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite, and Renaissance and Baroque art, and the slightly messed up people who produced it. Van Gogh is awesome. Some other things I generally enjoy are Europe, history, literature, and philosophy. In general, I am an academic nerd. I love reading, writing, researching, and being in libraries and museums. I really want to be some sort of curator when I am done with my education, and to go live in Italy somewhere. I am happy in my current, wonderful little world of intellectual discovery.
As of December 2007, my journal has sort of morphed into a way to organize myself and measure my progress as I begin the second draft of my novel, which can best, but not fully, be described as a re-telling of the myth of Cupid and Psyche in Gilded Age Newport, RI, complete with an exiled Austrian prince. It is my favorite project, and I am in the process of immersing myself in its world again after nearly four years in order to expand and polish. If you're interested in following along, please feel free to comment, and I will gladly add you. Otherwise, my journal is friends locked out of my inordinate love of privacy.
